The investment in the lives of these children through the Community Center was an unique gift for them. Yes, we showed them love and we took good care for them. We offered food, sanitation, after school program, but we took them afterwards to the public schools to get their studies completed. Unfortunately, the public schools lack in many areas and cannot generate a dignifying environment for these kids. Rejected and discouraged, most of them have left school for ever.

For these reasons, we have begun to create an independent school where these children at risk will receive all the love they need. They will feel safe. They will have mentors and friends who believe in them and who will help them succeed. Who will ever want to go back to beging, in bad weather, sleeping under bridges, when they get this education?

We bought this large building and we are now about to convert it into a great school. We got the permits for renovation and we are ready to begin the construction. This is a building with 100 rooms, placed on 5 floors. Once the renovation will be completed, it will be a self-sustaining project because the last two floors will be apartments to rent, and the income will cover the costs for the school.
